more of my graduation....the juicy stuff :)
Well... I am finally a college graduate! I graduated with my Associates of Science in Speech Communications. With a lot of support, encouragement and prayers from my friends and family, I was able to complete it. I appreciated everyone who traveled or took time out of their busy schedules to come and celebrate with us!
Now I am working part time at A Woman's Friend Pregnancy Center and Medical Clinic as assistant to the Director of Development... which means I help plan all the events and fundraisers that raise the money for our treatment and care since we are a non-profit organization. We give free medical care, counesling, services, and products to pregnant women, as well as women and men who want an abortion or have had an abortion in the past. I absolutely love my job! It is such a postivive, encouraging environment...esp compared to retail and waitressing....
Patrick is still in school untill October 31 when he will begin the hospital stage of his education. He is also working full time as an EMT at Bi-County... so right now we are wanting to focus on his schooling and job. We are in the process of buying a house...so hopefully we will be in it by July! I will try to keep you all posted on it...hopefully have some pic up eventually! :)
Hopefully, now I will be able to keep this more up to date! :)

pics of our first christmas
07...08
wow...it has been soo busy! patrick and i moved to a bigger apartment, got a puppy (sasha) and are both finishing up school. i on ly have one more semester!! and patrick starts back up in march and should be done with the schooling part october/november...
we had a great christmas...our first christmas together!! we were extremely blessed in multiple ways...we celebrated with patrick's family before we all left...they went down to la and we went up to oregon... while we were in oregon, we had a white christmas!! it snowed on christmas day...not covering the ground...but at least it snowed!! thankfully we didn't have to deal with chains on our way home (like last year...an 8 - 9 hour drive took about 12-13 hours.....ugh!)
new years unfortunately we both had to work... my stories arent near as crazy as patricks...you can check out his myspace at http://www.myspace.com/baseballlife4 if you want to hear more! he had to work over night, and thankfully i just had to work during the day on new years eve and day.
we are both ready to start this new year...hopefully healthier than last year...and hopefully not as much will be going on either!! stay tuned...i will try to keep this updated more than i did! :)
smiles and love...

busy, busy, busy....
the end of school is FINALLY getting near for both patrick and i! if all goes well (and as planned), i should be graduating next spring with my AS in speech communications...and patrick shortly thereafter with his certification in paramedics and/or firefighting...it has been a long, crazy, time. but in the end, it will be SO AWESOME to be done!!!
in addition to our work and schooling, we both have felt very called to start working with the youth group at our church (peach tree church of christ). we both had excellent experiences when we were in the youth groups (with time focused on personal growth in indivudal realtionships with Christ, fun activities, and building great realtionships with the other people in the youth group), we really desire to give our youthgroup a -smiliar expereince - to the best that we can! we have been very busy with it though!! we have SEVERAL fundraisers planned for the summer to save up money for our big trip to disneyland! we are going to spend 2 days in the parks...i'm very excited! even though patrick and i just went to disneyworld... i havent been to disney land in years! (and they are actually very different =] )
our first big endeaver of a fundraiser was a bake sale, where patrick mastered his bobby crocker cooking skills and made two AWESOMELY DELICIOUS cheescakes!! they were a big hit... however, i did try to warn him that if he started making cheesecakes, he might be forced to make them more often since that is one of my major food weaknesses! =) well, it's prolly about time to head out and start gearing our for our next big fundraiser... a service aution... people get to essentially "buy" us for labor! im excited cuz it will be a different experience for every one... the youth group was a little hesitant when we first proposed it to them though! but i think it will be a decent success.

Our Florida Honeymoon
at about 1am (Eastern) after we got to the hotel
at Epcot!
the back of our matching shirts...they say "The Mahers"
In "Canada" at Epcot
Sky writing at Epcot
Not wanting to wait in lines anymore
Coco Beach
"Expedition Everest" - the new Matterhorn
In Magic Kingdom
Awesome time- our knight was the "bad" one tho!
Kennedy Space Center (we couldn't go inside tho since we got there too late :( lol)
right under the "no loitering " sign at Coco Beach
Peek-a-boo
Hollywood Tower of Terror
Animal Kingdom - "Tree of LIfe"
THe African Wildlife Reserve (which is actually a "safari" ride in Animal Kingdom)
So as you can ell, we had an awesome time in Florida! We had great weather, and were able to do a lot of things!! We hit up every park at least 2x, making sure we got to our favorite rides as many times as wanted! (I think the record was 6 on Tower of Terror). We were also able to go to Coco Beach (a famous surfing beach) and Ron Jon's Surf Shop (also famous surfing spot). We tried to go to Kennedy SPace Center, but endded up getting there too late to be let in... so we took some pictures of the outside (lol). We also went to Medeviel Times!! I couldn't even remember how it was when i went almost 12 years ago!! On the way home, we stopped at the Mall of America and hit up some of the rides and shops (let me tell you - it's GINORMOUS!)
Now back to the real world with work and school and all...but our trip was the best honeymoon we could have ever even imagined!
